What to expect

  • Make sure your bike is full of fuel.  It's going to be run at all throttle positions including 100% wide open throttle for a few hours.  If it's out of gas, it can't run.  If it can't run, it can't be tuned.  Remember: Fuel is your friend (and ours too).

  • Make sure your bike starts and runs.  It's actually a good idea to make sure it needs tuning and not some other major work.  We've had bikes dropped off that don't start, because they have been prepped for the track and the mechanic never checked to see if the bike would fire when he was done.

  • Does it idle or does it stall when left sitting? We've had Harley's dropped off with such major hot rod work bikes won't idle.   Before dyno tuning happens, they need long term adjustment of the idle air control valve which is a daily adjustment and learning curve best performed in your drive way at start up many mornings in a row until the best values are achieved.

  • Can we get a probe in the exhaust?  We need to put a 10mm (3/8 inch) tube in the exhaust. It needs to go in at least 10 inches on a multi cylinder sportbike.  On a V-twin it may need to go 12 to 18 or more inches into the exhaust.  Otherwise the sample will be contaminated with fresh air as the exhaust wave draws a pulse of outside air into the pipe.

  • Your bike will be tuned in sweep tests and step and hold tests tuning all drivable cells within the map.  We typically provide print outs of your dyno runs as well as a CD with a copy of your new map and copies of your charts.  Ask us about e-mailing the results.  If you would rather have an e-mail just ask.  We're happy to send the results to your mail.

  • Generally folks like to see a few runs on their bike and then get on with their day and get their other commitments done.  We'll take your number and call in a couple of hours when your bike is complete.

  • We want to talk to you about your bike and get an understanding of what you have, what work has been done and how the bike performs before we even schedule your bike.  Call us and we can discuss what you have and schedule you for tuning.   Every bike and rider is different and you deserve to know that the folks your are handing you bike to, know who you are and what you ride.  We're certain you also want to know that they'll treat your bike like it was their own.  That's how we felt 25 - 30 years ago and it's how we got started doing this.

  • If you have an aftermarket ECU, unusual software on your own laptop or a carburetor that you are familiar with, call us.  We are happy to run the dyno while you do the tuning or wrenching.   If you are the expert, but don't own a dyno, call us about just using the dyno time.  We're proud to say we've been partners in some of the coolest owner tuned projects ever.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover through Square.  Of course we still gladly accept cash payment too!
